90 Receiving NCC-2 Receive Antenna Phasing System The NCC-2 allows you to phase one receive antenna with a transmit antenna or two receive antennas with each other. That means you can use the NCC-2,s phasing and balance controls to electronically “rotate” an antenna pattern, steering the pattern null(s) to reduce interference, so you'll enjoy improved reception and signal-to-noise ratio. Even if you have space constraints on your property, you can enjoy the benefits of antenna phasing and noise-nulling. The NCC-2 features superior phasing and balancing capabilities over other receiving devices. A built-in Receive- Transmit Interface relay system allows direct transceiver connection. The NCC-2 has four advantages over typical phased antenna systems. First, the array can be electronically steered or directed using physically stationary antennas. Second, the user adjusts the direction and wave angle of either a null or peak. Third, the response can change from a signal null to a perfect signal peak with the flip of a single switch. Lastly, front panel adjustments compensate for less-than-ideal antenna installations, making a directional array possible in most situations. Another important feature of the NCC-2 Receive Antenna Phasing System is expandability. It includes internal slots for installing optional DX Engineering Plug-in Modules, like the RPA Receive Preamplifier, Receiver Guard 5000HD, 75 to 50 ohm Impedance Transformer, and Transmit-Receive Interrupter. By reducing or excluding frequency specific signals that normally cause interference, these filters help lower the noise floor of the desired pass-band to dramatically improve reception. Filters are available for the 160-10 meter bands, and come in low pass, band pass and high pass frequency ranges. For full details, enter “DX Filter Sets” at DXEngineering.com. Combos come with two plug-in adapter boards and two filters. Virtually identical to its predecessor, this super-versatile preamp can plug directly into the DXE-NCC-2 and DXE-RTR-2 units. Use it as a separate in-line receive- only preamplifier by installing this module into the DXE-DMC-2 Dual Module Chassis. The DXE-Z10020-PM Receive AM Reject Filter Plug-in Module is also for use with the DXE-NCC-2 and DXE-RTR-2 or as a standalone filter installed into the DXE-DMC-2 Dual Module Chassis. It can drastically reduce RF signals in the 530 to 1700 kHz MW range up to 80 dB while passing frequencies below and above this range with minimal attenuation.
