The thermoplastic housing and wire entrance grommet material are fire retardant and UV stabilized. The DXE CLTB is a 3" square printed circuit board with four ten-wire compression screw terminal blocks that handle from 14 to 26 AWG conductors and up to 10A. The two outer terminal blocks are for input and output of the control wires and the two 45 degree angled ten-wire compression screw terminal blocks are for connecting the required number of individual electronic surge protection components. This provides for the choice of components to install between the control line and ground for shunt protection. Metal oxide varistors, gas discharge tubes, ESD suppressor TVS diodes, RF bypass capacitors (see DX Engineering components below) and other wire lead parts are easily connected between each control line conductor and ground with the DXE-CLTB. This open-board, no-chassis concept allows easy mounting on a single-point grounding panel to support simplified inspection and exchange of control line electronic surge protection components that should be done on a regular basis. For ef ective protection wherever electronic devices are used as a shunt to ground, a low impedance ground is crucial. The DXE-CLTB has four corner ground plane screw holes. The result is the DXE-UE-1P Small Utility Enclosure. Measuring 9.4" x 9.2" x 4.1", the thermoplastic enclosure delivers the same weathertight design and reliable protection of components provided by the larger model. Kit includes aluminum mounting plate (for attaching lightning protectors and ground strap), mounting hardware, copper strap clamp, and two cable feed-through grommets for most RG6 or RG-8X sized cable (optional cable feed-through grommets for larger cables also available).
