Product Warranties DX Engineering Products All products manufactured by DX Engineering are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of shipment. DX Engineering’s sole obligation under this warranty shall be to issue credit, repair, or replace any item or part there of which is proved to be other than as warranted. No allowance shall be made for any labor charges of buyer for replacement of parts, adjustments or repairs, or any other work, unless DX Engineering authorizes such charges in advance. Repairs to DX Engineering-produced items are warranted for a period of 90 days against defects in materials and workmanship. Repair or replacement is at DX Engineering’s discretion. Other Manufacturers Most manufacturers of er their own warranties. All warranties are included with your order. Some manufacturers require their products to be sent directly to them for warranty consideration—before returning any product from another manufacturer, contact us by e-mail or by phone at 1-800-777-0703. If you want to return any electrical products for warranty consideration, please e-mail us before shipping the items back. We will determine if a warranty claim is valid and where the part needs to be sent. You can also call 1-800-777-0703 to speak to a Customer Service representative. Any item which, in our opinion, shows evidence of being used or installed contrary to manufacturer’s instructions, and/or subjected to improper handling, packaging, or shipping by the customer will not be eligible for exchange, refund, or warranty consideration. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee or refuse any item. We cannot accept returns on custom-ordered parts. Sof ware or publications cannot be returned for a refund once opened. Protection Plan The DX Engineering Protection Plan provides coverage beyond the manufacturer’s warranty.* It includes: Mechanical or electrical failure coverage—For failures caused by breakdown or power surge. Coverage for product defects—We’ll get you back up and running quickly if your product is defective in materials or workmanship. Hassle-free product replacement**—If your product stops working due to a covered breakdown, we’ll replace it quickly and conveniently. No deductibles or service fees—With this plan, there’s no additional out-of-pocket expenses. *For transceivers and receivers, coverage begins af er the manufacturer warranty expires. For all other products coverage begins 31 days af er your product purchase date or ship date, whichever is later. The plan provides 1, 2, or 3 years of coverage depending on the length of coverage purchased. **The replacement product may be in the form of merchandise credit, not to exceed the maximum coverage per claim. Replacement, merchandise credit, or settlement fulfills the contract in its entirety. See terms and conditions for complete details, including exclusions, limitations, and providers. The protection plan provider is Federal Warranty Service Corporation in all states except in Oklahoma, where the provider is Assurant Service Protection, Inc. These companies operate under the trade name Assurant®. Repairs We can, in most cases, perform repair service on out-of-warranty DX Engineering, Butternut, COMTEK, Top Ten Devices, Hi-Z, RigExpert and TopTek branded products. The cost of repairs is based on labor rate of $89.00 per hour, and the total cost is estimated before repair work is started. 4O3A, ACOM, microHAM, OM Power, and RM Italy repairs will be conducted by our Authorized Service Providers at a cost deemed by them. Contact DX Engineering Customer Service to discuss the repairs needed and to receive shipping instructions. Returns DX Engineering does not have a trial or evaluation period for new equipment. However, if you’re not satisfied within 10 days of receiving your purchase, contact our Customer Service/Technical Support department to discuss your options. A purchase may be returned for a full refund within 10 days of receipt providing that the original manufacturer’s package is unopened, or is in as-new condition, and is undamaged. Items that you have opened and returned may be subject to a restocking or repackaging fee. DX Engineering recommends that you insure your return shipment. Af er inspection and verification of the returned items’ condition, DX Engineering will send the purchaser a refund or issue credit to the original payment method used for the purchase—for the full amount of the merchandise less a nominal shipping charge. Shipping charges, insurance, and oversize fees are *not* refundable. If it has been greater than 10 days since you received your order, the manufacturer’s warranty will apply, and no returns will be accepted.
