DX Engineering has designed a simple way to suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) and reduce common-mode RF interference (RFI) to and from Ethernet cables used between your personal computers, printers, routers, cable modems, transceivers and other devices. This interference is a common problem on Gigabit Ethernet Cat5e and Cat6 cables used for network LAN connections. The patent pending ISO-PLUS is an inline Ethernet filter that joins two RJ-45 connectors together to fight common-mode RFI and EMI noise interference for radio frequencies from well below 1 MHz to over 100 MHz. Installed on either end of Ethernet cables, ISO-PLUS filters mitigate RFI caused to the Ethernet- connected device. At the same time they reduce interference to radio receivers and other Ethernet devices that is caused by RFI or EMI generated by an Ethernet-connected device. The ISO-PLUS provides common mode attenuation resulting in reduced or eliminated EMI or RFI caused by power supplies, wall power adapters, touch lamps, appliances, and just about anything else near RJ-45 cables.
