Installation is easy too. Simply use the switch’s external control cable connector to attach your CAT-5 cable to the controller in your shack. These switches provide great SWR and superior port-to-port isolation—better than 60 dB for ALL ports, not just the best port. You'll see 70 dB (HP) and 60 dB (SD) in worse-case scenarios. That's the highest port isolation of all the major-brand coax switches we’ve tested. They’re fully RF-shielded with a UV-resistant cover, and have built-in lightning protection. The unused antenna ports can be jumpered for open control line with no disassembly or they can be easily shorted to ground. High Performance (HP) and Severe Duty (SD) Options The DXE-RR8B-HP uses 16 relays (2 per port) in a star arrangement to provide greater than 70 dB of port-to-port isolation. It is designed to switch coaxial lines in RF systems operating up to 5 kW continuous duty.
