For starters, they’re made from A356-T61 aluminum, so they weigh much less than cast iron heads. Then there’s the relocated rocker shaft oil holes that allowed Trick Flow engineers to optimize the shape of the runners to increase fl ow velocity and add much needed strength to the shaft bosses. Other vital improvements include clearance for 3/8" pushrods, ductile iron valve seats, bronze alloy valve guides, and multi-angle valve seats. PowerPort heads for big block Mopar come in three fl avors: The PowerPort 240 heads are for mild-to-moderate performance applications using regular intake manifolds and feature CNC Street Ported intake runners with a standard resolution surface fi nish. The PowerPort 270 and 295 heads feature larger, raised Max Wedge-style intake runners for increased airfl ow and horsepower potential for extreme engine builds and serious racers. The runners have our high-resolution CNC Competition Ported surface fi nish that guarantees balanced fl ow for maximum power potential. Trick Flow designed the PowerPort heads to use all factory-style big block Mopar pistons, roller rocker arms, and headers. Cylinder heads are available fully assembled or as bare castings.
